Purpose of the Code of Ethics

  • Serves as a guide for ethical decision-making and conduct in the provision of FamilyHub services.

  • Protects service participants from unethical behavior and ensures their safety and dignity.

  • Provides a basis for addressing complaints and ethical dilemmas.

Binding Nature

This Code of Ethics is binding for all members of the Family Hub team, including external collaborators. The principles set out herein are in line with generally recognized ethical standards and relevant legislation.

Provision of Services

Family Hub provides services focused on the support and development of family relationships, mental health, and personal growth. These services are carried out using professional methods and techniques.

Employees and collaborators are obliged to use their expertise in the best interest of clients, with full respect for their dignity, values, and rights.

Professional Competence and Development

Team members are required to perform their work competently and ethically, to engage in continuous education, and to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.

Employees only use methods and procedures in their practice for which they have the appropriate qualifications and experience.

Confidentiality

All staff members are bound by a duty of confidentiality regarding all information obtained during the provision of services, except in cases where disclosure is required by law. This principle also applies to activities carried out within training and supervision.

Framework for Service Provision

At the beginning of cooperation, clients must be informed about the nature of the services, their scope, duration, financial conditions, confidentiality rules, and options for terminating the cooperation.

The service provision agreement is concluded freely and in accordance with applicable legislation.

The relationship between a FamilyHub staff member and the client is based on trust and respect. Abuse of this relationship is unacceptable, and the staff member is responsible for any such misconduct.

Information About Services

Information provided to clients must be accurate, objective, and truthful. Misleading or aggressive advertising is considered unethical.

Professional Relationships with Colleagues

All employees and collaborators are obliged to cooperate with professionals from other fields in the interest of the client’s well-being. Colleagues and their work must be treated with respect and esteem.

Research and Education

Ethical principles also apply to research activities and educational efforts within FamilyHub. The interests of clients are the priority.
