Jitka graduated in single-subject Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. She also completed the full training in systemic psychotherapy The Art of Therapy.
In therapy, the most important aspects for her are respect for each person’s uniqueness, ensuring safety within the therapeutic relationship, and the belief in the power of conversation through which change can occur. She believes that everyone has resources that help them navigate difficult situations, and she strives to uncover them together with her clients. When working with clients, she always tries to keep in mind the various systems and contexts that influence their lives.
She also works with clients within the Pedagogical-Psychological Counselling Centre, where she focuses on psychological assessment of children and counselling for children and their parents.
