Adam earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Pedagogy at Charles University in Prague and later completed a follow-up master’s program in Pedagogy at J. E. Purkyně University, where he focused on applied psychology and addiction issues. He continues in this professional focus through his rigorous thesis at Palacký University in Olomouc, with the aim of obtaining the PhDr. degree specializing in educational counselling.
Even during his studies, he became drawn to the field of psychotherapy. He is currently enrolled in an accredited depth-oriented, dynamically focused psychotherapeutic training (PSPT) within the SUR system.
During his practice, he led a private facility focused on addiction treatment, offering both residential care and outpatient services. He also worked as a school psychotherapist, primarily supporting adolescents. Through this, he has gained a broad range of experience—from working with acute addiction-related issues to long-term support for young people facing difficult life situations.
“What brought me to psychotherapy was the desire to understand my own inner experience, to deepen my self-awareness, and above all the opportunity to help others navigate their own stories. Understanding one’s emotions is not easy. In my work, I focus on finding resources—on what makes, or can make, our lives happier. I strive to be an understanding and sensitive guide, and trust and a sense of safety are essential to me.”
Adam continues to pursue long-term professional development. He recently completed the five-year experiential part of his PSPT training and continues with the theoretical and supervisory components within the SUR system. He is a candidate member of the Czech Psychotherapy Association (ČAP) and works under professional supervision.
Adam works individually, with couples, with groups, and with entire family systems.
